Alfred, a North Caroline native, relocated to Englewood, Florida in March 2013, to his bride Karen’s home. Alfred and Karen, college classmates, reconnected after not seeing each other for over 30 years while at a homecoming football game. Palm trees have replaced oak trees, and the snow has turned to white sand. Kayaking through mangrove tunnels, hunting shark’s teeth, and exploring where the ‘locals’ hang out are favorite past times. They enjoy Alfred’s four children and ten grandchildren.

Alfred believes a servant heart is a glad heart and it his way to honor God by loving his neighbor. Alfred and Karen are active members of Gulf Cove United Methodist Church and serve in many capacities.

A third-generation Rotarian, Alfred served Rotary International District 6960 (SW Florida) as its District Governor for the year 2023-24. ‘Service above Self’ is more than just a Rotary motto. It is a way of life that gives both Alfred and Karen, also a Rotarian, a special connected pathway for service to others. Alfred serves on the United Way of Charlotte County Board of Directors, as well as the Englewood Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Alfred holds the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC®) and is presently studying for his Series 65 Securities License. Twenty-four years in the financial services industry and having owned and operated a BBQ restaurant for ten years prior has uniquely qualified Alfred with valuable insights for business owners. His ability to make the complicated seem simple and using little known and misunderstood strategies that maximize wealth accumulation and retention is a perfect fit for his place on the DG Advisors dream team.
